Digital Assets As a New Non-Correlated Asset Class in Today’s Traditional Multi-Asset Portfolio

Guest Speaker: Joshua Finkleman

As the Managing Partner of Colorado’s first digital assets investment fund (BXE Capital), Joshua Finkleman has a unique window into investment trends and the evolution of the crypto space from the perspective of an institutional asset manager. While serving as the President of a payment services company (Banctek), he first saw the massive disruptive potential of blockchain technology and how transformative it would become in our lifetime. As an early adopter and investor in blockchain technology since 2014, Joshua brings his expertise in payments, financial services & FinTech Investing to help educate others on the timeliness and importance of this new asset class.  Additionally, Josh holds a BS in Accounting (Ohio State), an MBA in Accounting/Finance (Regis University, Summa Cum Laude), and is a CPA in the state of Colorado (inactive status).

Joshua frequently gives presentations, lectures and interviews on various aspects of blockchain technology to diverse groups and empowers others to be well positioned during this new paradigm shift in technology and finance.

BXE Capital was founded in 2017.

About the presentation:

Since the inception of blockchain technology, we've begun to see cryptocurrencies change the landscape of asset management as we know it.  What makes digital assets (i.e. Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) so groundbreaking? This presentation will explore why Bitcoin and other digital assets are transforming modern monetary theory and are quickly becoming a valuable addition to today's modern investment portfolio for both retail and institutional investors.

This webinar will cover how digital assets fit in today’s investment portfolio and how asset managers can explore the various investment strategies currently being utilized. Joshua Finkleman, Managing Partner of BXE Capital, will delve into passive versus active investment strategies, how to properly store, secure and custody digital assets and the different investment styles being leveraged: fundamental, quantitative, composite and opportunistic. We will also cover the primary investment vehicles utilized today for managing digital assets such as trusts, ETP's and private funds. We hope that a glimpse into the bright future of Digital Assets will inspire you to explore this new asset class further.
