ABOUT ABOUT

Guest Speakers:
Chris Bloomstran, CFA
Topic: Value Investing

Value Investing is the purchase and ownership of securities that appear undervalued using various forms of fundamental analysis. In the world of common stocks, Value Investing involves buying stocks for less than their intrinsic value. The discount that exists to intrinsic value provides a “margin of safety”. Warren Buffett, the Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, is the most recognized disciple of the school of Value Investing. Most of the great long-term stock market investing track records have been produced by individuals or firms practicing the value discipline of investing. The presentation will involve an example of Value Investing at work.
