ABOUT ABOUT

In the past few months you’ve most likely had your share of Zoom meetings, maybe a few Zoom happy hours too, but how about Zoom TRIVIA?

The CFA Society of St. Louis is hosting a free Zoom Trivia happy hour, Wednesday, August 19. Invite friends or spouses to join! It’s a chance to engage with members and show off your knowledge of useless facts. Are you smarter than your CFA friends? Here’s your chance to prove it. Well, at least how much you know about information that’s of little value. So, pour yourself a cocktail, crack open a beer, uncork a bottle and get comfy on your living room sofa and let’s see how much useless knowledge is in those CFA brains of yours.

DISCLAIMER: No one will be singled out for sharing the wrong answer.

DETAILS OF THE GAME:

The game is hosted by Bob Byrnes of Quest Trivia. For the past 12 years, he’s hosted several trivia nights at MO and IL bars and restaurants and since Covid, has shifted to hosting several online. He ensures us he will throw in a few financial questions.

There will be 10 questions per round with a total of 5 rounds.

The last question in each round involves listening to music.

The game should be over by 7:45

Ideally, teams should consist of no more than 5 people. You can sign up as a team or as an individual and we’ll assign you to a team.

After each game, the host will instruct team captains to email final answers to [email protected]

Team scores will be announced after each game and the winner at the conclusion.

HOW TO PLAY:

Each player will receive a Zoom link to connect to the game. Please “mute” unless the host says it’s okay to “unmute.”

Pick a team captain and a team name. (individuals can sign up too—keep reading below)

Decide how you want to communicate your answers among team members using either a group text or group Facebook instant messaging. This needs to be something everyone has access to.

Team captains are required to email the final list of answers for each round to [email protected].  Our host, Bob will share results before proceeding to the next round

You can register as a team or as an individual

.

TEAMS: Include the CFA member’s name, and names of your team members. Please include the team captain’s email. IMPORTANT: Team captains will receive the Zoom link to connect early next week and are responsible for sharing it with their team members. They must be sure to have team members’ emails or phone numbers so all players have access to the game via Zoom.

INDIVIDUALS: Individuals are welcome to register with your name and email. Individual players will be assigned to a team by CFA hosts and receive additional information prior to the game regarding your team assignment.

**All teams need a team name. Be clever and creative. If you know your team name before we start, please include it while registering or you can wait until you turn in your answers after the first round.
